Greenville, NC Chiropractor Recommended Activities Part I

When I first moved to from Dallas to be a chiropractor in Greenville, NC it seemed like healthy activities were far and few between.  There may be some truth to that but overall there are plenty of fun and active things in Greenville, NC. The most important thing you have to realize if you’re looking to be healthy is that consistency is key. You want to find activities that you enjoy and make a ritual out of it. It’s always good to have a few “go to” activities that you can choose from on the days you want to add some extra movement into those potentially forsaken joints. Here are a few good standbys that are endorsed by chiropractor Greenville, NC Dr. Bret Wickstrom.

  • Disc Golf

  • Greenville, NC Greenway

  • River Park North

  • Greenville, NC Park & Rec Adult League Sports

This first list is a great list of healthy options for any level of fitness.  Regardless of whether or not you’re a nurse, professor, student or chiropractor Greenville, NC has plenty of low-intensity options to get you started on your way towards better health.

Disc Golf

Disc golf is a very inexpensive sport that allows helps just get you off the couch and outside walking.  There are three 18 hole courses in the Greenville area that are pretty top notch. Pick up two or three used discs (short medium and long range) from Play It Again sports or Craigslist and you’re ready to go. You don’t have to be good to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors.  In fact, I recommend playing BOTH left and right handed to make it interesting and keep yourself balanced. If you want to kick it up a notch you can play some “speed holes” and race to see who finishes each hole first. For more information check out discgolfreview.com to find the course in Greenville, NC or anywhere else in the country.
